Welcome!

Brown University and Edinburgh Scotland are the venues for the leGassickSquash Camps this summer - 2012.  Celebrating our 23rd year of leGassick Squash Junior Camps this summer the Scottish National Coach Roger Flynn is heading an outstanding coaching staff.

After three weeks at Brown University in Providence, we again return for two weeks to the National Scottish Squash Training Center at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh to train with the Scottish National Junior squads this July, with Tournament play in the Junior Open Squash Tournament at Heriot-Watt University during the middle weekend July 14-15.

These Junior Squash Camps are highly structured and planned to the minute day in day out - they are designed to help improve a serious Junior squash player's game in an intensive, competitive learning squash training camp environment.

Our Background

In June 1990 Dale Walker (the Yale Squash Coach at the time) and I ran the first Junior squash camp at Brown University. Twenty one years later 'leGassick Squash' has enjoyed working with well over a thousand Junior squash players who have benefited from their time on and off the courts at Brown University. This summer we again welcome the Scottish National Coach Roger Flynn and the former Scottish High Performance Coach Paul Frank to the Brown Campus. When Roger returns to Scotland, 'leGassick Squash' will again follow him back to Edinburgh to conduct a two week intensive squash camp on Roger's home turf, including participation in the Heriot-Watt Junior Squash Open Tournament which we play on our 'home courts'!

The camps at Brown over the years have seen many campers repeat their participation year after year. The campers enjoy the enthusiastic and wonderful coaches who teach them and also their highly structured days.  Facilities are first class and coach/camper ratio is usually 1:3 with opportunities for one on one lessons.

The Scottish Camp in Edinburgh is an exciting and intensive learning experience. It is a unique squash camp - the camp is located at a national squash training center; a national squash coach leads the coaching; the campers include national junior squad players from Scotland, US Junior players and other junior squash campers from all over the world; campers can practice with the Scottish National Senior Squads; and 22 year Ivy League squash coach Stuart le Gassick  is onsite and personally overseeing the camp. All this and the beautiful City of Edinburgh on our doorstep. If you are interested please feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have about the camps.

We are looking forward to a summer of learning, fun and squash and we hope that you are interested in joining us.

Please note the leGassickSquash camp is run for the benefit and owned by Brown University coaching staff member and NCAA Division 1 Coach Stuart leGassick and not affiliated directly with Brown University.
