Welcome to the 20th year of leGassick Squash Junior Camps at Brown University RI and Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. This summer the Scottish National Coach Roger Flynn is heading an outstanding coaching staff.

After two weeks at Brown in Providence, we again return for two weeks to the National Scottish Squash Training Center at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh to train with the Scottish National Junior squads this July, with Tournament play in the Junior Open Squash Tournament at Heriot-Watt University during the middle weekend July 17-19.

These Junior Squash Camps are highly structured and planned to the minute day in day out - they are designed to help improve a serious Junior squash player's game in an intensive, competitive learning squash training camp environment.

Ages 14-19 **These camps are best suited for athletes competing at an elite or college prospect level but is open to all 14-18 year olds who are competent players.

Our Background

In June 1990 Dale Walker (the Yale Squash Coach at the time) and I ran the first Junior squash camp at Brown University. Twenty years later 'leGassick Squash' has enjoyed working with over a thousand Junior squash players who have benefited from their time on and off the courts at Brown University. This summer we again welcome the Scottish National Coach Roger Flynn and the Scottish High Performance Coach Paul Frank to the Brown Campus. When they return to Scotland, 'leGassick Squash' will again follow them back to Edinburgh to conduct a two week intensive squash camp on their home turf, including participation in the Heriot-Watt Junior Squash Open Tournament which we play on our 'home courts'!

The camps at Brown over the years have seen many campers repeat their participation year after year. The campers enjoy the enthusiastic and wonderful coaches who teach them and also their highly structured days. The facilities are first class and the coach/camper ratio is often better than 1:4.

The Scottish Camp in Edinburgh is an exciting and intensive learning experience. It is a unique squash camp -- the camp is located at a national training center, a national squash coach leads the camp, the campers include national junior squad players from Scotland, US players and other European campers too, along with the 20 year Ivy squash coach Stuart le Gassick overseeing the camp.
