Camp Goals
This is a camp that is ideal for players who are intermediate to advanced players. It is a unique squash camp. We are training at the Scottish National Headquarters of Squash, coached by the National Scottish Coaches; we train with the National Scottish Junior and Senior Squads in a two week camp directed personally by 20 year Ivy League Coach Stuart le Gassick. The mix of US, European, World and Scottish junior campers add immensely to the camper's enjoyment of the camp, both on and off the courts. (leGassickSquash Camps have no more than 16 campers in their group at Heriot Watt so that there is plenty of personal attention for each camper throughout the two weeks).
Campers will see their games taken to another level within the confines of the National Training Center. The first week of camp concludes with the Heriot Watt Junior Squash Open to be held at the Heriot Watt Squash Centre on July 16-18th. This tournament attracts top Scottish, World and European Junior Squash players.
Given the location of the camp campers will be able to take advantage of the City of Edinburgh, situated in the beautiful East of Scotland. There are a number of wonderful tourist attractions that the group will enjoy. We especially look forward this summer to our short journey to St. Andrews to watch the Wednesday practice round of the 139th 'Open Golf' Championships hosted by the Royal and Ancient St. Andrews Golf Club. Always a special occasion even for the non golfers in the group!

About the Area
Edinburgh Castle dominates the city center skyline and from its ramparts you can look down on medieval lanes and elegant, sweeping terraces that hold over a thousand years of history, mystery and tradition. Yet you will also see a modern, dynamic capital where international festivals attract the world's leading performers, galleries display cutting-edge art, and bars, restaurants and clubs create a lively, cosmopolitan atmosphere with a distinctly Scottish twist.
'Edinburgh,' said writer Robert Louis Stevenson, 'is what Paris ought to be'.
